CleanWhale cleans houses and apartments across Long Island, NY, covering towns across Nassau and Suffolk counties, from the LIRR suburbs closest to the city to the North Shore and the South Shore. Pricing is based on your home's size and layout, not a one-size-hourly rate — you see the exact price before you book.

What the housing looks like here

This is two very different counties under one name — the dense, postwar ranch-and-cape suburbs of Nassau closest to the city, and the more spread-out, larger-lot towns of Suffolk further east.

Because most homes have multiple floors, a basement or a garage, we price by the whole property rather than by room count alone — a split-level with a finished basement is a different job from a single-level home with the same number of bedrooms, and the quote reflects that.

Getting here, and getting in

the LIRR's many branches (Main Line, Port Washington, Oyster Bay, Babylon, Port Jefferson, Montauk) connect almost every town on the island to Penn Station and, since the East Side Access project opened, to Grand Central as well.

Most homes here have their own entrance, so access is usually a key, a lockbox code or a garage keypad rather than a building concierge. Tell us how the crew should get in and where the alarm panel is when you book, and we'll have it ready for the first visit.

What's included

Every standard cleaning covers the kitchen (counters, stovetop, outside of appliances, sink and floors), bathrooms (toilet, shower, tub, mirrors and tile scrubbed and disinfected), and bedrooms and living areas (dusting, surfaces, floors vacuumed and mopped). Add a deep clean, inside-oven, inside-fridge, interior windows or laundry at booking if you need more than the standard visit.

Booking a cleaner

Enter your address, tell us about your home and choose a date — you'll see your price before you confirm, with no hidden fees. Weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or one-time, and you can pause or reschedule anytime. New customers save 20% on their first booking.

FAQ

Do you clean the whole house, not just apartments? Yes — most of what we clean here is a full house, including multiple floors, a basement and sometimes a garage.

How is pricing worked out for a house instead of an apartment? By your home's size, floors and layout rather than a flat bedroom/bathroom grid — you'll see the exact price before you book, and for larger or unusual homes we may ask a few more details or schedule a quick walkthrough first.

Do I need to provide cleaning supplies? No — your cleaner brings professional supplies and equipment.
